Fathers Supporting Fathers:

This organization was created by someone who believed that the outpouring support for mothers in divorce to custody issues outweighed what fathers to grandparents generally received. . Our mission is to enhance the truth.

Throughout our page, there will be down loadable brochures, links to all the other organizations that walk through every fire with us. There will be a member only area where you will have access to our chat rooms where meetings take place in a private setting.

Our biggest mission is to have Fathers Supporting Fathers Chapters statewide. As we grow, the links to each chapter will be listed when there is one in place.

We hope you enjoy your tour of Fathers Supporting Fathers and we are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Drop us an email on the link to the right and we will make every effort to talk to you.

Help Me See My Daddy
:

I am 31 years old and have three beautiful children. Tyler is now 14, Ashleigh is 12 and Hailey will be one year old on 8/30/07. I have been married for 13 years. About two years ago I had an affair with a married woman. Hailey was a result of that affair. I will be the first to admit that I was wrong in having the affair but I wouldn't change it because of Hailey. Before the pregnancy the mother of my child kept me up to date in every aspect of her pregnancy and she made me aware of every problem and complications she faced. After Hailey was born a personal DNA test was performed with the consent of her mother. The results were no surprise. I was in fact Hailey's biological father. From the time I found out I was her father Hailey stayed with me and my family every other weekend and sometimes 4-5 days at a time. I and my entire family developed a relationship with this beautiful little girl until 5/18/07. At this point the mother and her husband put a stop to me seeing my daughter. I had not choice at that point but to hire an attorney in order to fight for visitation. Well now here is the problem I am facing. Florida's state law states that if a child is born into a marriage the husband is automatically presumed to be the legal father and the biological father cannot file a paternity suit. I am going to dedicate the rest of my life to getting this law changed. The law was just recently changed to help non-biological fathers get out of supporting their children but yet biological fathers have no rights until it is "convenient"! Hailey is my daughter, A DNA test proved she is my daughter and her mother allowed me to be her father. Visit My Website

Crone Speaks Word Press:

As I have lived and gone through life, I have never been able to view myself as aging. But, aging, I am. My life experiences of being a mother, a caretaker of parrots, a breast cancer survivor, a business woman, a paralegal, and so much more, have shaped my conclusions on any given issue.

Over the years, and from my life experiences, I have landed firmly in the field of being a progressive. My biggest pet peeve is politicians that chose corporate whoring over the people, and much of what you will find in these posts relate to that.

Jail 4 Judges: Judicial Accountability Initiative Law (J.A.I.L.)

The Judicial Accountability Initiative Law, J.A.I.L., is a single-issue national grassroots organization designed to end the rampant and pervasive judicial corruption in the legal system of the United States. J.A.I.L. recognizes this can be achieved only through making the Judicial Branch of government answerable and accountable to an entity other than itself. At this time it isn't, resulting in the judiciary arbitrary abuse of the doctrine of judicial immunity, leaving the People without recourse when their inherent rights are violated by judges.

Federal Resource Center for Children of Prisoners ( Has a New Home at Family and Corrections Network ) :

CWLA is pleased to announce the Federal Resource Center for Children of Prisoners has a new home and will continue to serve the field at the Family and Corrections Network (FCN) website.

The Resource Center was created in 2001 through a cooperative agreement with the National Institute of Corrections at the U.S. Department of Justice and was operated by CWLA. During the last four years, the center has collected and disseminated information, developed resources, provided training and technical assistance, and greatly increased public awareness about the needs and concerns of the children and families of the incarcerated.

FCN, a CWLA member agency, was founded in 1983 to provide resources for people helping children and families of prisoners. FCN has been a partner with CWLA and the Federal Resource Center, and we are pleased this transition will provide the field with a strong resource for this vital work.

The resource center now has a new name, the National Resource Center on Children and Families of the Incarcerated; is now located in Philadelphia, and is on the Internet at www.fcnetwork.org.

The Osborne Association:

Offers opportunities for individuals who have been in conflict with the law to transform their lives through innovative, effective, and replicable programs that serve the community by reducing crime and its human and economic costs.

We offer opportunities for reform and rehabilitation through public education, advocacy, and alternatives to incarceration that respect the dignity of people and honor their capacity to change as they achieve self-sufficiency, adopt healthy lifestyles, enter the workforce, form and rebuild families, and rejoin their communities.

Founded in 1931, the Osborne Association furthers the work and the goals of Thomas Mott Osborne, an industrialist and former mayor of Auburn, NY. In 1913, Mr. Osborne spent a week in Auburn prison as inmate "Tom Brown," #33,333x. He lived just as other prisoners did, and left that harrowing experience determined to see America's prisons transformed from "human scrap heaps into human repair shops."

Committed to the ideal of a criminal justice system that "restores to society the largest number of intelligent, forceful, honest citizens," he went on to become a progressive warden at Sing Sing, where the majority of his prisoners did not return to prison after release. He later founded the Mutual Welfare League, which helped discharged prisoners obtain employment, and the National Society of Penal Information, which studied federal and state prisons to obtain information on housing, administration, discipline, and other matters. Through his work, Mr. Osborne became known as "the pioneer and prophet of prison reform."

The National Mentoring Center:

(NMC) has been serving youth mentoring programs of all types since 1999. Originally created by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), the National Mentoring Center offers training, resources, and online information services to the entire mentoring field

Mentoring for Children of Prisoners Fact Sheet:

In support of the current trend towards mentoring children of prisoners (including the grants offered by the Department of Health and Human Services), the National Mentoring Center has compiled a set of useful links to assist you in understanding mentoring efforts intended for this special target population. The NMC contends that mentoring for this population is really not much different than offering mentoring for other at-risk groups of youth, with a few exceptions. As a result, the following links should give you a greater understanding about the needs of COP youth and the federal and local programming currently geared towards them, while the rest of our site provides much more comprehensive information on developing the mentoring services themselves.

US Department of Justice:

Nearly 650,000 people are released from state and federal prison yearly and arrive on the doorsteps of communities nationwide. A far greater number reenter communities from local jails, and for many offenders and /defendants, this may occur multiple times in a year. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) over 50 percent of those released from incarceration will be in some form of legal trouble within 3 years. In his 2004 State of the Union, President Bush proposed a four-year, $300 million prisoner re-entry initiative to expand job training and placement services, to provide transitional housing, and to help newly released prisoners get mentoring, including from faith-based groups.
